Patti Mayhew

Meet Patti Mayhew, our Training and Recruiting Specialist! Patti has worked with CASA of the Heartland for eight years and was an advocate volunteer for four years before that.

Patti was introduced to CASA while working as a school guidance counselor, a role she served in for 25 years, in addition to 8 ½ years in the classroom. When Patti saw the difference that one CASA volunteer could make in the lives of her students and their families, she decided that when she retired, she would become a CASA herself so she could support these children and give them a voice in the system.

“I wish RETIRED educators, as well as other individuals in our community, would consider taking a step forward to support our children as volunteers for CASA,” said Patti. “We need volunteers that love children and can give them a voice. Not only does this bless the children, but you will be personally blessed as well!”

With the exception of her college years, Patti has called Vine Grove home her entire life. She enjoys taking trips to the beach, painting, and spending time with her family, which includes Chris, her husband of 45-years, two children, and three grandsons.

Thinking about being a CASA volunteer? Patti invites you to “please give me a call to discuss the difference you could make in a child’s life.”
