Meet Amy Hollingsworth, our Advocate Manager/Community Outreach Specialist! Amy has worked with CASA of the Heartland for nearly three years.
According to Amy, the best part of her job is seeing the difference that a CASA makes in the life of a child - especially when CASAs form lifelong bonds with the children they advocate for.
“Our CASA children, typically, have had a rough start in life. They are often shut down and scared to trust,” said Amy. “To witness these children beginning to come out of their shell and start to trust and have faith that someone cares about them is a wonderful sight to see.”
A native of Bell County in southeastern Kentucky, Amy is an avid fan of Bell County Football and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She and her husband, Henry, have been married eight years; together, they have four sons. Amy loves to cook, play guitar, sing, hang out with friends, and spend lots of time with her four dogs and three adorable grandkids.
Amy would like everyone to know that there are many ways to support CASA, from providing advocacy to children to becoming a Friend of CASA. Amy invites you to “please call us to find out how you can help abused and neglected children in Hardin and Larue counties, as well as Fort Knox.”
