CASA receives Grayson County Health Foundation grant

Elizabethtown, KY – CASA of the Heartland was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Grayson County Health Foundation in support of its mission to provide trained volunteer advocates for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. The investment strengthens CASA’s capacity to serve vulnerable children in Grayson County and enhances ongoing expansion and outreach efforts across the region.

In 2025, CASA of the Heartland has served 63 children in Grayson County, ensuring they have a consistent, caring advocate by their side as they navigate the complexities of the child welfare and family court systems. This grant will support efforts to grow that number by expanding volunteer recruitment, training, and case management services, ultimately increasing access to advocacy for children who need it most.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Grayson County Health Foundation for believing in our mission and investing in the well-being of children and families in this community,” said Michelle Kail, Executive Director of CASA of the Heartland. “Our advocates change the trajectory of a child’s life by offering stability, hope, and a voice in court. This funding allows us to strengthen our presence in Grayson County and ensure more children receive the support they deserve.”

CASA of the Heartland continues to expand its reach to meet increasing demand for services throughout its multi-county region. With the support of partners like the Grayson County Health Foundation, CASA is working to build a stronger network of trained volunteers and enhance local awareness of the critical role CASA advocates play in a child’s healing and permanency.
