Debra Chavez

CASA volunteer Debra Chavez understands first hand the positive impact that a CASA can make in the life of a child.

“When I was a child I had a CASA Volunteer that I believe helped me to become the productive/happy adult that I am today,” said Debra.

Debra decided to become a volunteer after reflecting on her own experience and wanting to provide that kind of support for children.

When Debra isn’t advocating for children in our community, she enjoys playing card and board games with her family, gardening, cooking, and playing video games with her husband. Debra works as a certified pharmacy technician for an independent pharmacy. She currently lives in Elizabethtown with her husband, two daughters, and two Bullmastiffs.

We love our volunteers--they are the reason we are able to make such an impact on the lives of children in our community. Do you want to #ChangeAChildsStory? Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer: casaheartland.org/volunteer
