ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. - As the beneficiary of a recent raffle series, CASA of the Heartland received an end-of-year donation of $72,000 from Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270.
“We are so grateful for the Give 270 team,” said CASA of the Heartland Executive Director Michelle Kail. “Their partnership has been such a valuable asset to our organization not only in helping us raise funds, but also by helping us raise awareness of CASA’s mission in our communities.”
CASA of the Heartland will use the donation funds to help recruit additional volunteers and continue to support current volunteers who advocate for the most vulnerable children in the community. CASA volunteers serve as court appointed advocates for children navigating foster care and the family court systems. The organization relies on community support and partnerships to accomplish their mission each year. Last year, the organization expanded to serve Breckinridge, Grayson, and Meade counties in addition to Hardin, LaRue, and Fort Knox.
The donation was made possible through proceeds from a Whiskey Wednesdays online raffle series called Pappy Palooza hosted by Give 270 during the fourth quarter of 2024.
“We are always proud to partner with CASA to help support the important work that they do for the kids in our communities,” said Eric Clemens, Board Chair for Give 270. “We know these funds will help CASA continue to serve those children and more over the next year.”
