Give 270 Whiskey Wednesdays Round 9 to Benefit CASA of the Heartland

Elizabethtown, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2023) – Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270 has announced it is launching Round 9 of the weekly Whiskey Wednesdays charity raffle series, entitled “Pappy Palooza Pass or Play.” Raffle tickets are now on sale, and all proceeds will benefit CASA of the Heartland, an organization that recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children.

Set to take place on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. from Oct. 11 through Dec. 27, the raffle gives ticket purchasers the option to “play” for 12 “Pappy” prizes hidden behind 12 locker doors or “pass” for one of a maximum of 12 chances to win the round's ultimate grand prize: a full six-bottle flight of Pappy Van Winkle on Dec. 27th or one of that night's five bonus prizes, which include two Lot "B" 12 year bottles and three Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year bottles.

In addition, each ticket provides purchasers with five chances to win each week as four bonus prizes are given away, including bottles of Weller 12 year, Weller 107, Weller Special Reserve and Buffalo Trace 1L.

"After successfully raising funds for United Way of Central Kentucky through our previous Whiskey Wednesdays round, we are thrilled to once again dive into supporting another vital community organization," said Eric Clemens, Board Chair of Give 270. "We take pride in our track record of providing funds for CASA of the Heartland through charitable gaming initiatives, and we hope to achieve our most remarkable outcome yet for this organization with the support of all those who participate in this round."

“We are incredibly grateful that Give270 has chosen to support CASA of the Heartland. This is a great way for community members to support CASA while hoping to win some bourbon - for which Kentucky is known,” said Michelle Kail, CASA of the Heartland Executive Director. “The money raised by Give270 from Whiskey Wednesdays Round 9 helps CASA continue to provide advocacy for vulnerable children in our community.”

Whiskey Wednesdays Round 9 raffles are set to take place live on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Priced at $5 each, there is no limit to the amount of tickets purchased per individual each week.

About Give 270
Launched in 2016, Give 270 supports community, economic and workforce development of the Elizabethtown-Fort Knox MSA (Hardin, LaRue and Meade counties) by raising funds for other area non-profit organizations and local initiatives.  Funds are raised through crowdfunding efforts including an online giving mosaic, bourbon raffles and signature events including the Kentucky Craft Beer Festival and The Eric & Joe Show. To date, over $1 million has been raised and directed to worthwhile causes ranging from meeting basic needs to mentoring and education initiatives. Give 270 is led by an all-volunteer board and is uniquely positioned to quickly and efficiently translate the philanthropic spirit of individuals and our community into effective fundraising campaigns.

About CASA of the Heartland: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Heartland is a non-profit child advocacy organization based in Elizabethtown, Ky., that serves all of Hardin County, LaRue County, and Fort Knox. CASA recruits, trains, and supports a network of volunteers, who are court-appointed to act as advocates for abused and neglected children under the protection of the County Family Court system. For many abused children, a CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives—an adult who is dedicated to watching out for them and who advocates for their best interest alone.
