As 2023 begins a new year, so does CASA of the Heartland as they welcome a new executive director. Michelle Kail will begin her new role on Jan. 3.
“We’re extremely excited for Michelle to be joining CASA of the Heartland. The passion and enthusiasm that Michelle brings will help CASA grow and enhance our ability to pursue our mission of serving the children in our community,” said CASA of the Heartland Board Chair Grant Niebuhr.
Kail comes to CASA with six years of teaching experience and an in-depth working knowledge of CASA’s mission. She has served as an independent consultant with CASA of South-Central Kentucky since June 2022. She most recently taught English at Meade County High School. Kail and her family have lived in Elizabethtown for almost five years.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as executive director for CASA of the Heartland. I have always been passionate about children, and I am excited to grow our program and to serve our community in this capacity”, said Kail.
Kail succeeds former Director Norma Hatfield who has served with the program since 2020.
